How to Prepare for a Tent Fumigation
- Unlock and open all rooms, cabinets, desks, closets, attic hatches, and safes.
- Remove all food from refrigerators, freezers, pantries, and storage closets; move it off-site.
- Raise all blinds and drapes for window access.
- Turn off all gas flames and pilot lights in fireplaces and appliances.
- Remove all pets (including fish and caged or non-caged animals) and houseplants.
- Trim outdoor plants so they are at least 18 inches from the structure.
- Rake rock, gravel, bark, or mulch at least 12 inches away from the structure.
- Detach any fences contacting the structure.
- Provide a garden hose for soil treatment by the applicator.
- Provide a set of keys for exterior doors, gates, and garages if applicable.
